   The 2011 Jacksonville reunion officially begins on Tuesday June 21 and ends the morning of Sunday June 26, 2011.

   Hotel Information

You will be staying at the full service CROWNE PLAZA JACKSONVILLE RIVERFRONT  which is located at 1201 Riverplace Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207 . The hotel is located close to many of the area's most popular attractions, and is across the river from the Jacksonville Landing which offers many shops, restaurants, and the Adams Class Visitor Center.

The room rate is just $115.00 per night for the Standard City View, $135 per night for the Standard River View, and $165 per night for a Jr. Suite with a River View. These rates do not include taxes and extras you charge to your room. All rooms have walk out balconies that offer great views of either the river or the city. The room rate includes continental breakfast served daily in our Hospotality Room. You may also BYOB in our hospitality room. For those of you who choose to arrive early or stay late, the same room rate is available 2 days before and 2 days after the official reunion dates based on availability. Please make your hotel reservations NOW by calling the hotel directly at the following number 1-904-398-8800 Ext. 4141 between 9:30am-6pm EST and ask for in-house reservations. Be sure to ask for the USS Lawrence Reunion rate to assure you are associated with our group. You may request specific room types when you call to make your reservations (handicap accessible room, etc.). The hotel check-in time is 4:00pm and check-out is 11am. Please do not expect to get into your room before then. Make your reservations NOW, you may cancel your hotel room up to 72 hours prior to arrival and not be charged. They will ask you for a deposit or a credit card number to guarantee your room reservation. The hotel is holding 40 rooms until they sell out or Sunday May 22, 2011, whichever comes first. Parking is free and available onsite to reunion attendees.

One lucky reunion attendee will have their room upgraded to a River View JR Suite at the base rate of $115 per night. This peron will be randomly selected from those who register with the hotel by the above cut off date.

In order to book your reunion events, please click on the RESERVATION FORM button to the left under Reunions. (Updated reservation form is not yet available). The events are in their planning stages and we expect to have them posted here by the fall. 

There will be a Welcome Reception that will be poolside with swimming on 6/21 and a Farewell Banquet on the night of 6/25. Don't forget our basket raffle by bringing a basket of items unique from where you live. Value should be around $25+. We are also exploring two group dinners that would be extra for those who would like to go at two well know area eateries.

Airport Transportation & Parking

 If you are flying to the reunion, Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) is the closest. The hotel and city is about 20 minutes/miles away from the airport. Transportation to and from the airport is available via the Express Shuttle. The Express shuttle is a minibus service that operates from the Jacksonville Airport. This Express service transports passengers to areas in and around Florida. The Express shuttle booth is located in section 5 of the middle curb just outside the baggage reclaim area of the Jacksonville Airport. For more information, call +1 904 353 8880 or +1 800 394 0116. Cost is $35 one way. Taxi service runs about $40 each way. It may be less expensive for two to go by taxi so check out the rates ahead of time.
